INTERNATIONAL CAREERS COUNSELLING

Researching the vast field of international opportunities can be frustrating. Relatively little information exists about international jobs, and employment counsellors seldom have sophisticated, multi-sectoral overseas knowledge or experience. You can end up working without any guidance, and have difficulty developing a strategy and leads related to your goals.

Our International Careers Counselling program simplifies your work and saves valuable time. The informed advice helps target your career search, provides specific recommendations and contact information in fields you may wish to pursue, and enhances your appeal to international employers.

International Careers Counselling Program

Preliminary Steps

  • You provide your current resumé for appraisal of structure, style and substance
  • Together we compile a self-assessment matrix to clarify your international career objectives and reveal new potential attributes

Background Work

  • We critique your resumé, and specify improvements to appeal to international employers
  • We analyse your matrix responses and create a shortlist of international organizations and contacts to match your career goals

Counselling Session

Our personal consultation results in the following actions:

  • We articulate your international career objective, and a career development strategy to achieve it
  • We finalize your resumé to highlight your merits and enhance your international prospects
  • We identify appropriate steps to research international organizations and contacts before approaching them
  • We develop a list of employment options to match your international goals

Who Can Benefit from the Counselling?

Clients we have assisted come from many backgrounds: lawyers, business professionals, journalists, government employees at all levels, ESL and FSL teachers, international interns, political staffers, senior undergraduate and graduate-level university students, and spouses of diplomats.

Fees

One-on-one counselling in person or by telephone:

  • In Canada $150.00/hour Cdn + GST
  • From U.S and Abroad $150.00/hour Cdn (no taxes)

Long-distance consultations are carried out only on calls placed by clients. Times can be arranged to take advantage of discount rates, international time zones, and client availability.
